Shannon “Shan the Computer Man” Simpson
Founder, Tech 502
Born in South Central Los Angeles and raised in Louisville’s Sheppard Square, Shannon Simpson has lived a life few survive. After losing his grandmother and watching his mother battle addiction — now 23 years sober — Shan fell into the streets and choices that led to three years in the penitentiary. Those years became his wake-up call, teaching him consequences and giving him a vision: his son would never live this life — and neither should any other young man.
When he came home, Shan rebuilt himself through the one thing that always gave him hope: computers. With just a $3,000 start, he got after completing a incubator program he turned his pain into purpose and created Tech 502 — a mission to save at-risk youth through tech education and to protect seniors from fraud through digital empowerment.
Shan’s purpose is simple:
Save the youth. Protect the seniors. Lift the community.
Everything he survived, he now uses to help others rise.

Tech502 is here to break the digital divide in impoverished communities. Give seniors digital independence. Help youth find outlets through tech that can show them a path towards greatness!

We publish annual impact reports to showcase our achievements and the difference we make. Transparency is key to building trust in our community.
